Community Meeting |

|
I attended a community meeting with my colleagues PCSO WILLIAMS and PCSO CHILLINGSWORTH at the Saltburn Community Arts Association, where local residents, partners, and representatives came together to discuss ongoing issues affecting the area. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for open dialogue, allowing members of the public to raise concerns and receive updates on local Policing matters. During the session, crime figures covering the previous five months were presented and discussed in detail. Theses statistics gave attendees a clearer understanding of current trends within the community, including any increases or reductions in specific types of offences. The information was explained in a transparent and accessible manner, ensuring that everyone present could fully engage with the data. Questions were welcomed throughout, and responses were provided to address any concerns, helping to build reassurance and trust within the community. A topic raised during the meeting was the ongoing issue of off- road bikes. Residents expressed continued frustration regarding the use of these vehicles in prohibited areas, particularly along Guisborough Road and Marske Mill Lane. Concerns were centred around safety risks, noise nuisance, and potential damage to public spaces. In response, updates were given on actions being taken to tackle the this problem, including patrols, intelligence gathering, and partnership working with relevant agencies. Overall, the meeting was productive and well attended, with positive engagement from those present. It reinforced the importance of partnership working between the Police, local organisations, and the public. By continuing to share information, listen to concerns, and take appropriate action, there is a collective effort to improve safety and quality of life within the community. Moving forward, further updates will continue to be provided, and similar engagement opportunities will be encouraged to ensure that community voices remain at the centre of local Policing efforts. | ||
